SEMI-FINALS DECIDED Press .4 ssociation IN VERCARGILL, Friday. Although the playing fields at the showgrounds today were decidedly heavy, the two matches in the semifinal of the New Zealand ladies’ hockey championship for the Iv Cup provided sparkling exhibitions. The weather was fine, and the spectators were treated to fast and exciting games. North Otago and West Coast, who were running level for second place in A section, met to determine which eleven should meet the runners-up in B section. North Otago won by two goals to one, and a close game for tbe Holder’s Cup between this team and Otago is anticipated tomorrow’ afternoon.

In B section. Eastern Southland A defeated Otago by 4 goals to 3. Eastern -Southland A and Wellington (winners of A section) will play off for the K Cup tomorrow afternoon.
