ROTORUA DANCE BAND
EPI SHALFOON’S MELODY BOYS Rotorua’s famous dance band, known as Epi Shalfoon’s Melody Boys, will shortly be heard in Auckland. This band is acclaimed in Rotorua and everywhere it has played as New Zealand’s finest rhythm combination, and their playing will be of interest to Aucklanders.
Frank Morgan, Carol Lombard and Miriam Hopkins, all well-known on the stage and screen, have been selected for important roles in “The Best People,” a talking picturisation of Avery Ilopwood’s famous play.
“The Little Cafe” has been selected as the title for Maurice Chevalier's next all- talking picture, shortly to go into production in Hollywood. Ludwig Bpi-germ. the director of the Paramount all-colour screen operetta, “The Vagabond King,” has been given the directorial assignment.
