MATCHES AT INVERCARGILL Press Association IX VERCARGILL, Thursda y. The weather was again unfavourable when the New Zealand women’s hockey championship for the K Cup was continued at the Showgrounds •this afternoon, but although the playing areas were heavy the spectators were treated to some close contests. In section A Wellington again secured a win. The North Otagb and West Coast elevens are now level and play-off again tomorrow in order to decide which team will play the second eleven in B section for the Holder Cup for runners-up. In section B Otago beat Fastern Southland A, who had not previously suffered defeat, by 2 goals to *0 in a fast and exciting game, which proved the best contest of the tournament. .These elevens will again meet tomorrow, the winner to met Wellington in the final for the cup. Following are the results: Section A.— 7 West Coast. 3. v. Southland B, 1 : Wellington. 5. v. Eastern Southland 8,. 1; .North Otago. S. v. Kotor ua. 1. Section B.—South Canterbury. 1, v.
