Lodge Dance at Manurewa
Annual Function Proves Most Enjoyable
ODDFELLOWS ENTERTAIN
Gaily-coloured streamers, entwined with a profusion of lycopodium, radiating from a circle of bright-coloured balloons, formed a canopy over the entire dance floor of the Manukau Picture Theatre on Wednesday evening, on the occasion of the ninth annual dance of the Loyal Manurewa Manchester Unity Oddfellows’ Lodge. A novelty feature was presented on tho stage in the form of a quaintlyconstructed Alaori whare. The dark green of the nikau fronds and dongas, illuminated with concealed lights, provided a picturesque setting for the Snappy Six Orchestra, who supplied an enjoyable programme of dance music. The supper tables were prettily decorated with bowls nf narcissus and violets, with streamers and Chinese lanterns overhead. Bro. H.
