Football Club Holds Annual Function
BRIGHT PROGRAMME The second annual concert, supper and dance of the Northcote and Birkenhead Rugby Football Club was held in the Palais Theatre, Northcote, last evening. The theatre had been gaily decorated, and tubs of native ferns made an attractive decoration at the main entrance. Tho supper tables were arranged in red and gold, the club's colours, with daffodils and Iceland poppies. Excellent dance music was played by an orchestra composed of club members, under the leadership of Mr. C. Aspden. The women’s committee members present were: Mrs. A. Grant, who was in a frock of daffodil satin beaute; Mrs. Norman Harris, in rose taffeta; Mrs. A. Miller leal' green crepe de chine; Mrs. R. B. Brown green embossed geoi’gette and bridge coat; Airs. J. Wet her bridge, black satin beaute and diamente ornament. Among those present were: Mrs. Frank Sutherland, who wore black chiffon velvet; Mrs. J. F. Potter, blue and rose ni non; Mrs. W. M. Jacks, black georgette and lace; Miss Bartrom. black maiocain and lace, with oriental bridge coat; Miss A. Campbell, lemon figured moire; Mrs. C. Delany, rose georgette frock; Mrs. F. hir.tie, bronze satin beaute and embossed bridge coat to tone; Mrs. W. Reed, totem red frock of moire; Mrs. 11. G. Wood, black frock and red shawl; Mrs. A. ißorrows, black floral satin beaute; Mrs. J. Hickson, lettuce green georgette and lace; Mrs. W. J*.
