Did the MinisI ter deny that the comptroller had accepted a tender from the Taupiri Coal Company at 19s 3d a ton, despite the fact that he had tenders, one for 700 tons and one for 750 tons at 19s a ton? Did the Minister think it was in the public interest to give the Taupiri jCoal Company more than £2,500 above [the price for which the coal could [have been purchased? i
