MR. WILLIAMS AGAIN PRESIDENT FAULTY STARTING MACmNES Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The New Zealand Trotting Board continued its sitting today. Mr. J-E Williams was re-elected president. The North Island Owners and Trainers’ Association wrote stating thattfc* faulty operation of starting machines on some of the North Island courses was the cause of most false starts an: were a contributory cause of a«ciden:= at the start of a race. The associaticr recommended that starting machine should be overhauled on the mornitof each race day. After considering the reports ©I stipendiary stewards, the board decided to note the complaint and tj thank the association for drawing attention to the question.
