"IT’S A COW”
Colloquialisms are expressive, and their usage is seemingly not unknown in the most dignified circles. This was forcibly proved at a meeting of the One Tree Hill Borough Council last evening, when Cr. W. G. Mulholland spoke about the amount of damage which had been done to certain trees in Waitapu Road and Allison Avenue. “The damage to the trees ie inconceivable/’ said Cr. Mulholland, “and it has certainly been done by some person—presumably a cow.”
