AUSTRALIA HOUSE

£30,000 A YEAR CUT RECOMMENDED AXE INTO SALARIES Reed. 10.5 a.m. LONDON, Wednesday. The Australian Press Association is reliably informed that Mr. Coleman, a member of the Australian Federal Parliament, who was sent to report upon Australia House in London, recommends reductions totalling £30,000 annually. The reductions include all grades and the reorganisation recommendations include the abolition of the assistant secretary, a reduction in the financial adviser's salary, and the coordination of the trade and publicity departments. Mr. Coleman further advises the desirability of grouping the AgentsGeneral under one roof, namely Australia House.
