TESTING TEACHERS
PROFICIENCY SURVEY With the object of making a survey regarding the accuracy with which teachers award marks in proficiency and competency certificate examinations, tests, this year, will »take place throughout New Zealand on only two days, November 20 and 24. The teachers will as usual furnish their estimates of the candidate's attainments in the examination subjects airJ will be asked to assist in the marking of test papers. Departmental inspectors <svill then check the papers to discover whether the teachers’ marking appear to be reliable.
