COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
BIRTHDAY IS CELEBRATED AT HERNE BAY A jolly time was spent on Saturday evening, when Mrs. Forman, of Jcrvois Road, Herne Bay, organised a party in honour of the coming of age of her only daughter, Pearl. Mrs. Forman received her guests wearing a frock of black and silver brocade and georgette, and Miss Pearl Forman’s frock was of ivory lloral satin beaute. A string orchestra played the dance music and the supper and drawing rooms were decorated with Chinese lanterns, balloons and fernery. Musical items were given by some of the guests. Among those present were:—Mrs. B. Forman, who wore dove grey crepe de chine; Mrs. 11. Fonman, wine crepe de chine; iMrs. Carroll, ivory georgette and brussels lace, trimmed with ermine; Mrs. Hunter, black crepe de chine; Mrs. S. Levin, rosewood crepe de chine; Miss Mildred Goodman, rose georgette; Miss Rita Agnew, eau de nil satin and gold lace: Miss Dorrie Agnew, powder blue georgette and diamente; Miss R. Hunter, peach satin; Miss L. Allen, orchid satin and tulle; Miss Lily Barker, black taffeta and silver lace; Miss Eulah Basset, moonlight blue satin.
