COMMUNITY SING
The presence of a large number of school children increased the crowd a*t the community sing in the Town Hall today to such an extent that several hundred persons had to be turned away from the doors. Considerably more than 3,000 took part in the singing, which was led by Mr. Owen Pritchard. It was a record crowd for the season and, with Mrs. Barrington Snow at the piano, a big selection of songs, both new and old, was sung. The numbers included: “Bye, Bye, Blackbird,” “Sons of the “Tiptoe Thru’ the Tulips,” “Painting the Clouds with Sunshine,” “Parlez-Vous,” “Misery Farm,” “Peggy O’Neill.” “Long Way to Tipperary.” “Pack Up Your Troubles,” “Billy Boy,” “Land of Hope.”
