AIRPLANES OVER SCHOOL

v COMMITTEE COMPLAINS The circling of airplanes overhead is looked on with disfavour by the .Vauvhall School Committee. A meeting of the Auckland Education Board this morning received a complaint from the committee regarding what was considered to be a dangeraus practice. It was pointed out that there was an element of danger to the children, in case of an accident to the airplane, and that considerable distraction was caused when pilots circued overhead. The committee asked that this should be brought before the proper authorities. "I think it is rather outside our scope,” commented the chairman, with a smile, adding that there had recently been brought in regulations concerning low flying and “stunting” over the City which would probably end the complaint.
