WELLINGTON’S DOCK
LONG TOW FROM ENGLAND TAKES SEVEN MONTHS TOO WIDE FOR PANAMA Reed. 10.20 a.m. ROTTERDAM, Tues. The L. Smit Company's international tugboat service has secured the contract to tow Wellington’s dry dock to New Zealand. Owing to the width of the dock, it cannot pass through the Panama Canal, so it must go through the Suez. Beginning in July, 1931, the voyage will take about seven months.
