OMANA FOR NEWCASTLE.— Union Company’s collier Omana le King’s Wharf for Western Wharf p.m. today, and is scheduled to sa! ten o’clock tonight for Newcastle. THE CITY OF LYONS.-—The A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer City of Lyons which arrived from New York late yesterday morning,, cleared New York on August 1, bunkered at Newport News the following day and cleared the Panama Canal on August 10. She had fair to moderate weather in the Atlantic, but she encountered strong southerly winds and rough beam seas in the Pacific, except for the last week, when the wind continued strong but was from various directions. Captain W. Houghton is in command, and the following are the officers Mr. G. Vickers; second, Mr. R. Fulford; third, Mr. L. Roundy; chief engineer, Mr. R. Sharp; second, Mr. D. Bentley; third, Mr. D. Edwards; fourth, Mr. J. Lynch; fifth, Mr. D. O. McGhie; sixth, Mr. S. Boothroyd; chief steward, Mr. E. Humphries; wireless operator, Mr. N. Sanderson. The vessel is at present berthed at Prince’s Wharf, where she is putting out the local consignment of her cargo of general Eastern American merchandise to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. The City of Lyons is expected to sail at noon tomorrow for Wellington, ! Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete unloading. ..
