COURAGEOUS FANCIED BRACKETED WITH HYNANNA Courageous, who finished second to Shrewd in the Neagle Handicap at Dannevirke last week, won this race last year, but was placed second owing to interference with the second horse. He showed a return to form at the Manawatu meeting recently, by winning the Terrace Handicap, one mile and a-quarter, which was his first success for a long time. He is entered for the New Zealand Cup. Courageous is to make his next appearance in the Marton Handicap on Saturday, and as he will be coupled with Hynanna the combination will no doubt be sent out favourite. RACING FIXTURES
