SERVICE-CAR CAPSIZES

PASSENGERS SLIGHTLY HURT CAUSED BY FLOCK OF SHEEP A large service-car carrying nine passengers, including a woman with a baby in arms, capsized between Pokeno and Maramarua this morning in attempting to avoid another ser-vice-car which had pulled up unexpectedly just after rounding a sharp bend. Every window in the car was broken, but none of the passengers was injured, except for minor cuts. The first car had just turned the corner when it had to stop to allow a flock of sheep to pass. The following car was compelled to swerve sharply to avoid a collision, and mounted a bank. A wheel hit a boulder and the car overbalanced and fell back on to the road with the Vvheels uppermost. The bodywork was extensively, damaged.
