MOTOR-CYCLE RACING
BAY OF PLENTY CLUBS % From Our Own, Correspondent OPOTIKI. Monday. The coming motor-cycle racing meetings is anticipated to be a record one in the Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, Tauranga, Te Puke, and Whakatane all having very live clubs. It is anticipated that a record number of Bay riders will compete at the annual meeting to be held at Opotiki on December 267 The Opotiki Club is now the oldest grass track racing club in New Zealand. „ _ . „ At the annual meeting of the Whakatane Motor-cycle Club the following officers were elected: —President. Mr. T H Whittle: vice-presidents, Messrs. W. G. Allan. 11. A. Bunn; joint secretaries and treasurers. Messrs. W. H. Bigwood and H. L. Drube; club captain Mr. A. L. Bunning; vice-captain, Mr "W. Keen: delegate to Auto-cycle Union, Mr. A. L. Bunning; hon. medical adviser Dr. H. M. Dewar; committee, Messrs. W. H. Bigwood, H. L. Drube, A. B. Bunning, W. Keen. R. Whittle, fe. Hutton and P. McGillian. It was resolved that the club affiliate with the New Zealand Auto-cycle Union and that six race meetings be held during the coming season.
