Residents o£ Mercer and railway employees assembled recently to bid farewell to Mr. H. Leckner, who has been transferred to Wanganui. Mr. A. J. Bourne presided. Mr. Leckner was presented with a case of military hairbrushes and a shaving outfit. Items were given by Messrs. Burke, Butcher, Payne, Coleman, Parsojis, Waller, and Peacock.
