MISS SPOONER IS SECOND PICKING UP TIME GERMAN FLIER WINS Reed. 12.50 p.m. ROME, Sunday. The German competitor, Lusser was the first to arrive at Littorio Airdrome at Rome on the last lap of the international air race. Miss Spooner (Britain) was second 90 seconds later, and Donati (Italy) was third. The crowds gave an ovation to Miss Spooner for the fastest time from Turin to Rome, where she gained 16£ minutes on Lusser.
