ASHTON BROTHERS’ MOUNTS BRING £15,520 TOP PRICE £2,000 NEW YORK, Saturday. Twenty-five mounts of the Ashton Brothers, polo players, of Goulburn, Australia, were sold hv auction at East Williston, New York. They realised £15,520. Isbel, a six-year-old bay mare, which has only played two years’ polo, brought the top price of £2,oo<h Hopalong. a nine-year-old chestnut gelding, brought the next highest figure,. £1,600. Playon, a nine-year-old chestnut mare, realised £1.300, and Coaster, a big 10-year-old gelding, £1,020. After many postponements due to rain the Ashtons cancelled their last match and will now remain as spectators of the International matches on September 6, 10 and 13, before sailing for Australia.
