FIVE MINERS KILLED
EXPLOSION OF FIRE DAMP IN SCOTLAND TRAGIC INCIDENTS LONDON, Saturday. Five miners were killed and nine were seriously injured in an explosion in a colliery at Blantyre, Scotland. One ot the men killed had begun work today after a long period of unemployment. His wife was ill in bed when she heard the news. The accident is attributed to fire damp.
