Dominion secretary of the Sudan United Mission, is in Auckland, and is to undertake a month of deputation work in the city and suburbs. The Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs, and bis sons. Messrs. J. and V. de la Perrelle. who <pent the week-end in Auckland, returned to Wellington by train last evening. Mr. P. Natty, formerly of the Christchurch staff of the Public Trust Office, who has been promoted to take charge 0 f the Hamilton district for the office, was honoured by the Christchurch Ravage Club last week. Mr. J- S. Brigham, the town clerk; Mr. J. B. Paterson; and Mr. J. Stanton. the city solicitor, left for Wellington last evening to further the interests of the Auckland City and Motuihi Empowering Bill, and also to make representations regarding the amending of the Scaffolding and Excavation Amendment Bill. 1930. Mr. C. M. Martin, of the head office of the A.M.P. Society, Wellington, has been appointed general manager for New Zealand in succession to Mr. F. <s. Mcßrvde. who has been promoted to be assistant general manager for Australia. Mr. Martin was manager in Queensland for the. society, and came to New Zealand at the end of last year.
