FOOTBALL INJURIES

THREE HOSPITAL CASES Threp football casualties on Saturday required attention at the Auckland Hospital. Members of the St. John Ambulance attended on all grounds, and assisted in many other cases. A fracture of the right leg'rvas received by David Ellis, aged 21, of Hauraki Road, Remuera, in a match at Devonport. Ho' was taken to the hospital by the Devonport ambulance. A heavy kick in the back necessitated the admission to hospital of Lawrence McKenna, aged 21, of 3 Kiwi Street, Sandringham. Tho injury was received in a match played at the Showgrounds, and he was removed by the St. John Ambulance. His condition is not serious. A broken bone in one toot was the injury which required attention at the Auckland Hospital for a third-grade Manukau Rugby player named I-lood. who was playing at the Showgrounds. Hood lives at D 3 Queen Street, Oneliunga, and after treatment at the hospital was able to so home.
