BROKE A WINDOW
ORDERED TO PAY DAMAGES While scuffling -with another man on the Auckland railway station on Saturday afternoon, while drunk. Arthur John Davis accidentally smashed a window. He was ordered to pay for it when he appeared at the Police Court today. Davis, a labourer, aged 52, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on Saturday, and damaging a window valued at £2 the property of the New Zealand Government. Sub-Inspector Shanahan said a constable had to be called at 3.10 p.m. on Saturday, as accused, who was drunk, would not keep quiet. Scuffling with another man, Davis smashed a window at the station. On the first, charge accused was fined £l, or three days. He was ordered to make good the damage on the second charge.
