KAKEPUKU DAIRY COMPANY
The annual report, presented at the 14th annual meeting of the Kakepuku Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, held at Pokuru, over which Mr. B. H. Budden, chairman of directors, presided, stated that the company had had to accept considerably lower prices for this year’s production of cheese. No f.o.b. sales were made, all cheese being sold on consignment. The average pay-out for the season will be Is 4.8 d a lb if unsold stocks realise the value at which they are set down, During the latter part of the season standardised cheese was manufactured, the sale of butter-fat obtained by this method realising £373 18s Sd. The cost of manufacture was 3-812 d a lb butter-fat. The total output for the season was slightly lower than that for the previous year. The company will continue to consign, but through two agencies instead of one. Messrs. F. Harris and A. E. Ray, retiring directors, were re-elected, and Mr. G. O. Jourdain was reappointed auditor.
