NEW TELEPHONE SERVICE

TAMAKI RATEPAYERS’ NEEDS Ratepayers of the Tamaki district wish to be brought into direct telephone communication with the City in order to reduce annual charges. A meeting of the Tamaki Ratepayers’ Association this week decided to approach the Post and Telegraph Department with a proopsal that such lines should be laid along the waterfront. The City Council is to be asked to prohibit the parking of motor-cars on the waterfront reserve. A vote of sympathy was passed with the widow of the late Mr. H. Law, for many years a member of the association.
