SIR OTTO NIEMEYER
NO ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT OFFICIAL VISIT ACTING-LEADER RETICENT from Oar Resident Reporter WELLINGTON, Today. When asked if the Government had considered the possibility of inviting Sir Otto Niemeyer to visit New Zealand after he had completed his work in Australia, as has been suggested by c hambers of commerce throughout the Itomlnion, the acting Prime Minister, t he Hon. E. A. Ransom, said yesterday that he could make no announcement at present.
It is understood that were Sir Otto to be officially invited to visit New Zealand on his way home from Australia he would be asked to investigate some one particular aspect of New Zealand's finances rather than the financial position in general.
