The following Bills were read a second time, put through the remaining stages and passed:—Masterton Trust Lands Amendment, Waiapu County Council Empowering, Invercargill City Fire and Accident Insurance Fund Empowering, Rotorua Borough Empowering, Dunedin Waterworks Extension, Wellington City Exhibition Grounds Amendment, Dunedin City Corporation Empowering Amendment, Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Amendment, City of Christchurch Sinking Fund Comm ission ers E mpowering. The Kirkpatrick Institute Empowering Bill was read a third time and passed. The Workers* Annual Leave Bill was read a second tim’e pro forma, and referred to the Labour Bills’ Committee.
Leave to withdraw the Wellington City Milk Supply Amendment Bill was granted. The Local Bills’ Committee had reported unfavourably on the Bill. The House rose at 9-30 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesdav.
