Mr. J- M. Elliff© was a, passenger on iie Limited, this morning. The Hon. J. B. Donald, PostmasterGeneral* was on the Limited this morning. Mr. Horace Miller, New Zealand manager for Firestone Tyres, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. G. Falck. of the Standard Optical Company, arrived on the Limited this rooming to join the Auckland branch of the firm. Messrs. H. NT. ltushworth, A. M. Samuel, J. S. Fletcher and A. \V. Hall, M.P.’s, were passengers on the'Limited this morning. Mr. A. I. Johns, general manager of the New Zealand Insurance Company. Limited, leaves by the Maunganui this afternoon on a short visit to Australia. Mr. T. Mclndoe attended the meeting of the Council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce Cor the first time yesterday. He is the representative of the Auckland Itcal Estate Institute. Mr. J. Adler, who has be en appointed reader and teacher by the Auckland Hebrew congregation, with Mrs. Adler nnd their* two children, will arrive in Wellington by the Ruapehu on September 10 on their way to Auckland. Mr. G. R. A. Whiting, who has been the district inspector of factories at Xew Plymouth for five years, will retire on superannuation on September 20.
