In spite of inclement weather conditions, some very fine golf is being placed in the second rouijd of the Rotorua Club’s open championship. Following are today’s scores:— George won from Parata, 3—2; Plumley won from C. P. Howden, 2 —l: Hocken won from Callaghan, 1 up at the nineteenth; Troutbeck won from Brinsden. Troutbeck is matched against Hocken. and Plumley against Rex George, in the senior finals. THERMAL SPRINGS CUP Play was advanced another stage when (Toss won fnom F. C. Hutchinson, 1 up; ' Abbott won from M. D. Carr, 2—l; Harrison won from Western. 4—2; and Rainger won from Brett, 1 up. The semi-final resulted in Abbott winning from Harrison. 6—3, and Goss winning from Rainger, 1 up. This morning a foursome handicap medal match was played, Phelan and Ralfe winning. In the second bogey match. ATenzies and Rainger tied 2 up on the colonel, winning the game.
