EBERT WINS AT LAST BEATS LUNDYN AT STRATFORD Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. Amusement, rather than enthusiasm, was caused at a wrestling contest between Fred Ebert (Austria), 13st 111 b, and Alec Lundyn (Finland), 13st, at Stratford this evening. The Austrian was declared the winner when in tho sixth round the Finn was unable to continue, alter being thrown on his back after an airplane spin. Lundyn secured a fall in the third round from a cradle hold. TURK MEETS LOGAN WRESTLING ON MONDAY Great interest has been aroused in sporting circles regarding the wrestling match between Kara Pasha and Walter Logan, which takes place at tho Town Hall on Monday evening under, the auspices of the Auckland ExServicemen’s Wrestling Union, and indications are that a record crowd will be present. “Tho Terrible Turk” reports that he is in-excellent condition as a result of his long list of victories in the South, while Logan is also in fine fettle. Logan pleased the crowd by his showing against Alley last week and manv are picking him to, stop the Turk’s run of successes. Logan himself is confident, while the Turk is, sure that he will win again. Whatever the result of the match it seems assured that a spectacular and scientific « exhibition will bo seen.
