N.S.W. WHEAT
RECORD HARVEST EXPECTED The aoting-Premier of New South Wales, Mr. Buttenshaw, on return from a visit to the western wheat area, said ho,had seen a quarter of a million acres of wheat. It Avas all in splendid condition and looked like harvesting about 10 bags to the acre. It was possible, he thought, that the State’s harvest this year would reach 70,000,000 bushels, and if 4s a bushel Avere obtained, this Avould mean £14.000,000 to the State. The outlook Avas very hopeful. Mr. ButtenshaAV also said that the State avool clip might bring in about £20,000,000. If this money Avas obtained for the primary products this season, it Avould go a long way toA\ r ard putting the State on its feet.
