SHOP CONTENTS BURNED

FIRE IN REMUERA ROAD The contents and fittings of a shop at 107 Remuera Road were considerably damaged by fire this morning. The City Brigade was called at 3.24 a.m., and quickly had the outbreak under control. The building is of two storeys, and contains five rooms and a shop space, with basement, and is constructed of concrete and brick. It is owned and occupied by Mr. G. Shewery, who keeps it as a general store. • The building is insured with the South British Company for £3OOO, and the contents with the British Traders’ Office for £4,040. The cause of the fire is unknown.
