GRAFTON SHAKESPEARE AND DRAMATIC CLUB

“THE TRUTH ABOUT BLAYDS'

A most successful evening was given by the Grafton Shakespeare and Dramatic Club in the Unity Hall recently when A. A. Milne’s play “The Truth About Blayds’’ was presented to a large audience.

Those taking part were: Mr. Norton Hammond, Oliver Blayds; Mr. J*ohn N. Gordon, A. L. Royce; Mrs. Rosie Stratton, Isabel; Miss Margaret Free, Marion Blayds-Conway; Mr. Ernest Snell, William Blayds-Conway; Miss Hilda and Mr. A. D. Bathurst, as the two grandchildren, and Miss Grace Wright as Parsons.

Miss Nell Lush produced the play and Mr. Mervyn Rattray was the stage manager. The incidental music was* played under the direction of Mr. to. Adams. The numbers included a “Polish Dance No. 1“ (Scharwenka); valse, “Three-four’’ (Coleridge-Tay~ lor); selections from “Lilac Time (Franz Schubert); violin solo, ’•Mazurka de Concert.” by Master Mil - ton Dilworth (Avid Musin). The violinists were Mr. Keith Fowler. Mr. Mi’. - ton Dilworth. and Miss S. Tayey: cello, Mr. lan Skerrett: piano. Mr. S. Adams. The performance will be repeated this evening.
