THEFT AT PAPATOETOE
CASH AND CHEQUE STOLEN William Samuel Beehre was arrested by Sergeant Burnett, of Otahuhu, and Constable G. J. Maloney, of Papatoetoe, this morning for the theft on August 26 of £2 in cash and a cheque, the property of Ethel May Simmons, of Puhinui Road, Papatoetoe.
He later appeared before Messrs. R. B. Todd and C. R. Petrie, J.P.’s. at the Otahuhu Court and was fined £5. He was also ordered to pay witnesses’ expenses. Default was fixed at seven days’ hard labour.
