ICELAND-AMERICA HOP IN GERMAN PLANENORTH ATLANTIC ROUTE Reed. 11.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Tues. Captain von Gronau, the German aviator, and his three companions, reached New York Harbour in the Dornier Wal flving-boat at 3.46 p.m. local time today, having flown instages from Iceland. The fliers were transferred ashore in police boats and were greeted by a throng of 10,000 spectators. Interviewed ashore Captain \on Gronau said he was not likely to fly back because of the diffictilties of get.ting fuel in the Arctic region. He added the flight was not a sufficient indication of the feasibility of the northern air route between America and Europe.
