PIANIST ROBBED
BACKHAUS LOSES £3O IN NOTES TAKEN FROM DRESSING CASE Prom Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. The noted pianist, Mr. Wilhelm Baekhaus, had £3O in notes stolen from him at Rotorua. On Saturday, Mr. Baekhaus placed three £lO notes in a dressiug-case and found they had disappeared on Monday, when he went to pay his hotel bill. Some English banknotes were cunningly untouched by the thief, who probably believed they would lead to his apprehension.
