MR. MOSS DAVIS'S GIFTS ARRIVE BY lONIC.—The well-known former Aucklander, Mr. Moss Davis, has presented to Auckland another valuable collection of objets d'art, which arrived by the lonic yesterday. Some of the old Maori curios included are shown above. Left to right: A chieftainess’s headdress and comb. It is carved from puriri, with bone teeth, A chief’s war tomahawk, beautifully carved in ivory, used only on ceremonial occasions. A chief’s neck brnament and two ear-rings representing the huhu.
