Wilsons Cement Selling THE general tone of the market is brighter and increased business is being recorded. Wilsons Cement continue to change hands at 40s.
Business on the Auckland Market Transactions on the Auckland market over the past 24 hours included: Yesterday afternoon: Bank of New South Wales. £36 2s Gd; Ne\v Zealand Insurance, £2 2s: Dalgety, £9 14s; Staples, £2 3s 9d; New Zealand Inscribed Stock. 1938, 4 h per cent., £IOO. At the morning early call: Union Bank. 4210 9s; Dalgety. 42 9 14s; New Zealand River Plate, £1 8s; British Tobacco (L.S.), £1 13s Gd; Waihi tL.S.). 14s 4d. At the midday call: New Zealand Insurance, £2 2s; Wilsons Cement, £2. Market at Midday The bank section Is quiet. Commercial of Australia are a shade easier; National of New Zealand are steady; New South Wales (ex div.) have buyers £3.» 10s, sellers £36; New Zealand are inclined to firm. Union of Australia sold at £lO 9s. In the loan and agency, Dalgety continue to sell at £9 14s. Dominion Invest, and Banking have buyers at ISs 9d. sellers now appearing at 20s 3d. New Zealand River Plate sold at 28s; North Auckland Farmers remain steady. In the miscellaneous, British Tobacco
changed hands at 33s Gd, leaving the market with sellers at 33s Gd. Colonial Sugar arc inclined to ease. Farmers’ l eading Cora.) are steady. Milne and t'hoycc now have buyers at 24s 3d, sellers 2as 9d. Taranaki Oil are quiet. Talisman Dubbo Gold Mines The manager of the Talisman Dubbo C.old Mines. Ltd., reports:—'The drive on the Dubbo Reef has been advanced lift. The reef is wider than the drive. Four feet of the footwall portion is exposed. A cut was put through the hanging- wall portion and exposed a further 3ft Gin of quartz, making the total width of 7ft Gin of payable ore.
