Obituary
MR. E. R. PARTINGTON The* death occurred in the Waika*o Hospital on Sunday of Mr. Edward Robert Partington, at the age of 74. He was for many years manager of the old Morrinsville creamery in Studhohu Street before the present butter factories were built. Air. Partington was a member of an old Auckland family which has owned the windmill at the corner of Karangahape Road and Symonds Street since the early days of Auckland. After coming to the Waikato many years ago Air. Partington conducted a flourmill at Te Rore, Pirongia, and later joined the staff of the N w Zealand Dairy Association in the e rlv days of the dairy industry in the Waikato. He was in turn stationed a* tho association’s factories at Harapop-, Paterangi, Ohaupo, Rukuhia, and Morrinsville. After the Morrinsville creamery closed down. Air. Partington retired, and continued to live near the creamery site in Studholm Street, Alorrinsvilh . Airs. Partington died about two years ago. Air. Partington was a staun«-:i member of the Alethodist Church. Formerly he was interested in music, and was conductor of the Oliaup® Band and was choirmaster in several churches.
