FREYJA IMPROVING
SHOULD BE GOOD ’CHASER ODIN’S LUCK IN HUNT CUP From what has been seen of Freyja she will play a part in next winter’s jumping events, providing of course nothing interferes with her progress in the interim. She is improving all the time, and a second to Scaramouche on Saturday is no criterion of her worth. Till she fell on the hill the last time in the Pakuranga Hunt Cup Freyja was going a fine race, and there are more unlikely things than that she would have filled a placeFreyja is an own sister to Odin, but as yet is not as good a jumper as the latter. Experience will probably rectify this, while being of a more robust constitution suggests she mayin time be a better horse than Odin, who but for luck would not have taken second honours in the Hunt Cup. His rearward position on the hill the last time was due in part to his poor jumping, and only the falling of several competitors gave him a chance to secure some of the money.
