AN ASSAULT CHARGE
Charged -with assaulting George Albert Gourlay McClatchie, on August 23, and stealing an overcoat, valuied at £7, Victor Harold Traue, or Truey, aged 20, and Leslie John Walding, a labourer, aged 21, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court this morning. Through Mr. K. A. Singer, Traue pleaded not guilty to both charges. Walding who did not have counsel also pleaded not guilty. After hearing the evidence, Mr. Hum 1 ! convicted both men and remanded ! • them until Friday for sentence, j ' “Traue is not convicted on the theft I ] charge,” lie said.
