CAR SKIDS OVER BANK
ACCIDENT ON AUCKLAND-TO-INVERCARGILL RUN ATTEMPT OrT RECORD Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. While a light car was continuing a record-breaking run from Auckland to Invercargill this morning it skidded in the shingle on the Greta Cutting, in North Canterbury, and somersaulted down the bank. The driver, Mr. A. McDonald, was unhurt, hut the observer, Mr. R. Cuthbertson, was knocked unconscious for 20 minutes. He recovered and later the car was got back on to the road under its own power and proceeded on its journey.
