PROVISION NEAR ORAKEI THREE GROUPS OF BUILDINGS All boat-houses erected in Whakatakataka Bay# will be divided into three groups in conformity with the ideals of town planning. The Auckland Harbour Board has granted permission for launch owners to erect houses on the waterfront below Orakei. but they must be built according to plan. Several have already been erected and permission has been granted by the board to several other owners to build there. The first group will contain boat houses measuring 60 feet by 40 feet, the next 45 feet by 16 feet, and the third 30 feet by 14 feet. There will be launch steps dividing each group of boat houses. It has been decided nqt to grant permission to anyone who desires to erect commercial sheds for boat-building and other purposes in Whakatakataka Bay, or along the waterfront road.
