MR. NIMROD PARKER The death is announced from Christchurch of Mr. Nimrod Parker, aged 65, at one time the best all-round athlete in New Zealand. He was 4he father of J. H. Parker, the All Black. Mr. Nimrod Parker also coached W. F. Simpson and Hector Burke.—P.A. MR. J. M. CROSHER Itlr. J. M. Crosher, weH known in the electrical trade, and in Ellerslie. died suddenly last week. He failed to recover from an ‘attack of illness which he suffered while at his work. Air. Crosher is a son of the late Air. William Crosher. a pioneer of the Auckland electrical trade, and was born in England 57 years ago, coming to the Dominion when a child. He was managing- director of the firm of William Crosher and Sons, and had ‘been actively associated with the governing bodies of the electrical industries. He had been a member of the Ellerslie Town Board and of the local school committee, and was associated with the Ellerslie Bowling Club and the Wairoa Masonic Lodge. His kindly assistance and sound advice were greatly appreciated by many local societiesBefore residing at Ellerslie. Mr. Crosher lived at Devonport, where he was president, and later a life member of the bowling club. He was also a past-master of the Albion Masonic Lodge. He leaves a widow, two sons and three daughters. The funeral was at Hillsborough Cemetery on Saturday.
