HISTORIC TREES

YV?ur correspondent “Kakau” interested me with his story of the old oak tree in Symonds Street which each year beats its neighbours by a month in donning spring raiment. There must be many historic trees in Auckland, planted by distinguished visitors, and commemorating special occasions. I wonder if any of your readers would be energetic enough to supply me with a list containing the location of some of these trees. HISTORICUS.
