USE OF LARGER WICKETS
N.Z. CRICKET COUNCIL’S RECOMMENDATION PRACTICE FOR NEXT TOUR Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. At a meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council tonight it was decided to reconfmend associations at the annual meeting to adopt the bigger wickets for Plunket Shield matches this season. In the meantime the secretary was instructed to write to the major associations and secure ' their views on the matter. • The chairman pointed out that if a team went to England it would have to use the bigger wickets, and players should therefore have experience with them here this season.
