COMMITTEE TO REPORT IN VICTORIA PRODUCTION AND PRICES Reed. 10.55 a.m., MELBOURNE, Today The committee of inquiry into the sugar industry consists of eight members, with Mr. J. Gunn, Commonwealth Director ot Development, as chairman. . _ Every phase of the sugar industry will be represented on it and the inquiry will cover costs, profits, manufacturing conditions, the necessity tor a continuance of the present prohibition of importation of sugar, the effect of present sugar prices on manufacturing industries, the values of land used for sugar growing, alien penetration into the sugar industry, and other aspects of the business.
