SIR ASTON WEBB DEAD.—The [ death has occurred of Sir Aston Webb, ‘ R.A., a former president of the Royal l Academy and of the Royal Institute of British Architects, ajgred 81 years. He ' was a son of Edward Webb, an cn--5 graver and water-colour painter. Tak--1 ing up architecture as a profession, lie made rapid headway. He was presi- ’ dent of the Architectural Association 3 in 1884 and of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1902-4.
